Writing Weekend: Final Results

Total Weekend Wordcount: 6511 words

Not as much as I would like, but more than I had when I started. But that's about 1/10 of a book if you're shooting for 60,000 words.  Not bad when you think of it that way. I set high goals so even if I fell short, I'd still have a pretty decent word count.

Onward and upward...

Tricia--How about setting a more reasonable--and obtainable goal--so you feel successful. That amount of words for a weekend sounds like a great accomplishment!

Thanks, Sioux. You're probably right. I am aiming for a thousand words a day, but it was fun to test my limits :)

Hi, stumbled here quite on accident (don't you love google?). Your weekend sounds alot like how mine is going right now. Which is why I'm surfing instead of writing, of course. Have you had any success since? I find it easier to work on my main project when i keep a journal during the week. Writing comes more naturally during my actual writing time.

Good luck!

To my last poster - I've hooked back up with my critique friends sincle I last posted, so I will be getting some good feedback, but I think I maimed the part of my brain that was writing everyday by worrying that I wasn't writing enough, or every day.

I took a week off to destress, but I'll be back at it this weekend when my kids are gone. A few more weekends like that and I will have something to work with.

Probably more than you wanted to know, but thanks for asking :)
