Literarcy Drive for Children's Books or Bibles for Ferguson

Note for Members:

During our Coffee and Critique meeting today Marcia Gaye will be collecting new or gently used children's books and bibles for a literacy drive children in Ferguson.

If anyone has any books of that type to donate, please bring them to critique group meeting today and Marcia will make sure they get where they need to go.

Workshop: Ozark Writers and Illustrators for Children

Ozark Writers and Illustrators for Children is hosting a one day workshop on July 11, 2009. You can print the brochure and send it in to register. It's only $40 if you sign up early, and it includes lunch.

The workshop will be held at the Lebanon-Laclede County library in Lebanon, MO. Speakers include J.B. Cheaney, Vicki Grove, and Louise Jackson.

Nathan Bransford has a post on publishing trends this week with good news for authors of children's books. Jane Friedman of HarperCollins says book sales for kids are up 50% at the company.
